Hi! I’m Sarah Chellis, co-owner and eye patch fabricator, and with me is my husband, and co-owner, Jesse Harwin.

In January 2017, we were given the opportunity to take on the eye patch business that was started by Fred and Sara Harwin so many years ago. It is a lot of fun learning, growing, and meeting new people who enjoy our eye patches. We live and work in Portland, Oregon where we both grew up. I love the sense of community and passion for art that is fostered here and hope to inject a little bit of those values into EyeDentity. Please have a look around our website for more information, and let us know what you think. We are only here because of you, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to get to know you.

ABOUT OUR PATCHES

EyeDentity Ultrasuede Eye Coverings are hand-made with care and attention to detail. Our Classic design was first added to the market in 1995 by founders Sara and Fred Harwin, of Harwin Studios. Fred, a board-certified ocularist, noticed that the mass produced, every-day eye patches were not comfortable, and style and color options were minimal. Sara, an accomplished fiber artist, set out to find the solution.
The eye patch she came up with had just the right amount of curve for breathability. She used Ultrasuede, a luxurious faux suede, for a soft touch and elegant expression. Velcro was added to the band, in favor of using elastic, so that the patch could be worn as tight or loose as needed and last even longer before needing to be replaced. Now, with 5 different styles and our ability to customize any order, it’s possible to have a durable, day-to-day eye patch that truly fits anyone’s distinct need.

Classic

Eyecup is approximately 3.5” by 2.25” and has a more pronounced curve allowing for more space between the patch and the eye socket. This is a great design for those who want larger coverage and those who might need to use bandages or padding underneath.

Classic Soft Curve

Eyecup is approximately 3.5” by 2.25” and has a subtle curve that fits behind most glasses frames. This eye patch is a great design for people who like larger coverage who need to wear glasses over their patch.

Mini

Eyecup is approximately 3” by 2” and has a more pronounced curve allowing for more space between the patch and the eye socket. This eye patch is great for kids or people with a more petite face and those who need to use bandages or padding underneath.

Mini Soft Curve

Aero

Eyecup is approximately 3.5″ by 2.25″ and is made from a mesh that partially cuts light but still offers visibility and greater airflow. This eye patch is a great design for people looking for more breathability while still concealing the eye. They are excellent to use while exercising.
